Aims & Objectives

Expose the students to the field of medical (surgical and oncology) robotics. Robotic– assisted surgical applications are provided from a systems perspective. Issues in visual servoing and haptic feedback in surgical robots are examined from s surgeon’s point of view.

Learning outcomes & Competences

The students will be able to simulate a MIS procedure and be aware of the state-of-art in surgical and oncology robotics

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge in robot kinematics (direct and inverse), dynamics and control
